Trend Watch - Tartan

I like tartan, but I don't own anything with the print on it really. In fact, I'm still not sure about this dress, what do you all think? Yay or Nay?

I picked it up for three euros, so it didn't break the bank or anything. I just can't decide if I love it or hate it.
Tartan has been everywhere this winter, anyone who's anyone has either been talking about it or wearing it, so it's about time I jumped on the bandwagon I guess!

Now just to think about what shoes to wear.......

Shoe Porn

I'm gonna start this post of with saying, I am 5"2. I am teeny, tiny! So when it comes to shoe shopping, heels are what I gravitate towards because I like how they make my legs look that little bit longer, and I like the height too! The problem is, as much as I like heels I can't exactly walk in anything that's too high, especially if a few drinks are involved! Therefore, chunky heels are my shoes of choice.

I managed to get these beauties in my size for 18 euro's in Penny's of all places... That's Primark to all you UK lovelies! When I saw them at first I thought, meh... and I put them on and it was a match made in heaven.

I can't wait to style them ahhh!

#bbloggersWLW

Hey ladies,

I'm sharing another recipe this week with you curtsy of Operation Transformation. PIZZA! Who doesn't love pizza? It's a healthy alternative, and speaking from experience it is delicious.

You will need:
- 1 wrap
- Mozarella
- Tomatoe Puree
- Toppings of choice (I picked peppers, chicken, bacon & red onion)

Step 1
Heat your wrap under the grill for about one minute, just to soften it and warm it up.

Step 2
Spread the tomatoe puree across the base of the 'pizza' and tear of mozzarella pieces and scatter them across the base.

Step 3
Add your toppings, spread them out evenly. I softened up my peppers and red onion on the pan with a little water first.

Step 4
Pop your pizza into the oven at 180 for about 20 minutes until the cheese has melted and the edges have turned up a little.

Enjoy! It really is yummy!

Leather Lovin'

Last weekend I went and done a little shopping with my Mum, and it was done very quickly because my baby brother joined us, and you can imagine how rushed we were!

I found this in Swamp, for less than 5 euro's and I was so happy! It's a high wasted, faux leather skater skirt and it's pleated. Can we just take a minute to admire how pretty this is? It may be love, ladies!

I've so many idea's as to how to style this, so keep an eye out for some outfit posts soon!

GHOST Whisper Blush

Unlike a lot of beauty bloggers that I read, know and love I do not own a lot of perfume. I don't have a super pretty collection to show you, in fact I think I own three bottles in total. I'm very fussy when it comes to perfume, it's not something I can justify spending money on a lot of the time... However, I recently received this bottle of GHOST Whisper Blush as a gift, and it's so beautiful I had to share it with you.

The bottle is clear and baby pink ombre effect which is so delicate looking, and the scent is sweet without been over powering, and there's a warm undertone to it. It's so long lasting as well, I like how it lingers for so long as not many perfumes I have tried before have done that!

If you see it in Boots or anywhere else, give it a little sniff - do your nose a favor!

A little look into SPECSPOST

Recently I was given a chance to collaborate with an online glasses company called Specspost. I was so excited to be involved because I've been wearing glasses since I was about four... now, for non glasses wearers this post might seem a little boring but for all you lovelies who do need a little help in the sight department I hope this helps!

Getting the right shape and style of frames is a big deal, they must suit your personality as well as your face shape, along with your budget. Specspost seem to have all of these factors covered, I've paid up to 400 euro's for glasses before and they got smashed at a uni house party. Fabulous!

So, the lovely Charlotte asked me to pick out four sets of frames of my choice ( sidenote - this was so hard because the more I looked the harder it was to choose! ) and feature them here in Wonderland! Personally, I love shopping for new glasses, it's just as fun as buying nee clothes, shoes or make up!

What I've decided to do i give you a quick over view of the frames I chose in this post and over the next week I'm going to pair each frame with a different look just to switch thing's up a bit, and show you how I would wear them, sounds good? I think so!

The first pair I chose were these purple and black geek style frames, I LOVE them but, alas, they do not suit my chubby cheeks in my opinion.

The next ones I got were these, I chose them because they are quite like my own but just a little more!

I picked these ones because in all my years of wearing glasses, and I'm nearly 22, I have never owned a pair that had weren't pink purple or black, so when I saw green, I was very curious!

And finally, these babies, oh my days, these are fabulous! They are described as an Alexa Chung style, which not only do I agree with, but I love. They are so different, and quirky and I really love these. By far my favourite.

What do you think of my choices?

The TAG of all knowladge

So my lovely Amy tagged me to do a TAG that she made up herself, and after giving hers a read I thought yep, let's give that a whirl! So here we go....

1. If you were a rock-star, what items would you demand on your rider?

I've had experience been the other side of this, where I had to get thing's for musicians who were rather fussy, but I guess if the shoe was on the other foot I would want..... Oh this is hard. Okay, I'd want Blue Maxwell House coffee, I don't care where we were in the world, the stuff is my best friend. I'd also want milky bars on request, a person to mind Benjamin so I could take him everywhere with me. I also think I'd want my own pillow, and someone to cook for me at my leisure. Not asking for much, am I?

2. If you could afford any designer piece, be it clothing, shoes or accessories, what would it be and how would you style it? If you can, post a picture.

This is an easy one. An Alexa Mulberry (see below)

3. What kind of a teenager were you? Goth? Princess? Nerdy?

I didn't really fit into any of these catagories. I'm as quirky now as I was when I was 15. I've had the same group of friends since I was in nappies.

5. What fictional character would you most like to have dinner with and why?

Ahhh lads, this is so hard! Probably Harry Potter, everyone and anyone who knows me knows how much of a fan I am. Or possibly Carrie Bradshaw.

7. Tell me about your first ever make-up purchase.

Oh dear, it was a shimmery lilac roll on eye shadow from Rimmell. It was awful. I still own it!

8. It's the year 2020, where do you hope to be in life?

I'd be like 27? So umm, I don't know. I'd like to have a career by then, hopefully in Fashion PR/Marketing/Merchandising. I'd also like to be in a big city somewhere.

9. What is your drink order of choice when you go out?

Either a strawberry & lime kopparburg, or a Vodka half black half white.

10. We all have a "Dirty Sexy Crush", so tell me: Who is yours?

John James Preston i.e Mr Big, Max Branning (don't ask it's the voice) or Aaron Hotchner!

5 Things I've Been Loving #2

I done one of these posts quite a while ago, and I liked it. So here's the second installment of my '5 Things I've Been Loving' series...

1. American Horror Story. One word - Obsessed. If you haven't watched it, do it. Stop reading this post and just go and watch it! You won't regret it.

2. Blogging. Rekindled my love with blogging in 2014, and I'm on a roll! Hi Wonderland, I missed you.

3. Excercising. Pretty random for me, but between #bbloggersWLW, Slimming World, Zumba, Running and everything else, it's becoming quite addictive.

4. Skincare. This is something I've been getting more intrigued with by the week, and currently testing out a few products that I'm happy with. When I have a proper skincare routine I'll update you. If you have any suggestions for products I should try out, tweet me :)

5. Velvet Gh0st. A blogger and YouTuber I have loved this month. Gabriella is funny, quirky and gorgeous, if you don't watch her check her out here.

What have you been loving lately? <3

#bbloggersWLW

This post is going up quite late today, I'm sorry about that! It's been a long day, and already a long week, and its only Wednesday. Roll on Friday, I miss the weekend.

How are you all? Tell me something motivating you've done this week, because truth be told, I need some. This week has been very just, blah. I hope I'm not the only one who gets weeks like this... Everything is just bland, boring, and too much effort. Yet I don't know why? I think my anxiety adds to feelings like this so I am just trying to push through and ignore it. I just can't seem to shift the bad mood and pain from my shoulders. Oh dear this is a very moany post..

In terms of a weight loss this week, there was none, there was no gain either... Oh well, I'll be back next week and I promise that this will be a happier post...

For all the other ladies taking part in #bbloggersWLW tweet me and let me know how you're doing!

Much love xox

Brand Focus: Oriflame UK

Over the past two months or so, I've been trying out lots of different products to try and get my hair in better shape because it has been through a LOT in the last few years and I'm trying to get it as healthy as possible.
This product from Oriflame UK has helped a lot, it's a serum that you put into damp hair to help split ends. It's called the HairX Restore Therapy Split Ends Serum. I only use a tiny bit each time, around one pump and its enough. After I put it in, and blow dry my hair I've noticed its not as dry as it used to be, it's getting smoother and breaking less which of course, is the desired result.

One of the best things about this product, is the scent. It is to die for, it smells warm but yet sweet? I don't know, I'm awful at describing this kind of thing, a common trend among beauty bloggers I've noticed!

The Gold Chain

I honestly own about 7 chunky gold chains, mostly from Primark, Claires or eBay, nothings too expensive or anything, but all loved equally. However, my darling mother surprised me with this little beauty on Christmas morning.

I saw it a while back in a quirky little vintage store where I live months back, and when I went in to buy it, it was gone... so sad. At least I know now why it was gone...

The chunky chain is something I love, and with the flower detail it makes it a real statement piece. I wore it out with a black cami and a tartan skirt over Christmas and it just speaks for itself. I feel so lucky to own such a unique piece like this. Thanks Momma Bear! <3

New In: GOSH Make-up

Eeerrmmaaagooodddd (that's my excited noise!)

How amazing is this palette? My best friends momma got it for me for Christmas and I don't want to use it because its so pretty!

I have some other eye shadows from GOSH and they are some of my favourites. They are very blendable, smooth and super pigmented. This palette has so many colours, but all are very useable in my opinion and I can't wait to finally start using them.. . I'll let you know how I get on and maybe do a FOTD post with it.

#bbloggersWLW

Hi ladies,
Back again with another WLW post, how are you all doing this week?

I know I said last week that I would be doing a food diary but to be honest, I just didn't have time this week but I do have a recipe for you to try out (see below)

This week was great, I started running with my sister, walked our puppy Ecko a lot, and even went to my first zumba class with my best friend. Zumba was my favourite, it was so funny, and we worked up a proper sweat! We loved it so much we're going back this week, and I'm taking my first boxcercise class tonight! Excercise overload much?

This week I have been taken inspiration from you guys, you're posts helped a lot this week. As did ideas of other bloggers, Louise from Sprinkle of Glitter been one with her ongoing hashtag #glittergetsfitter on Twitter and Instagram - are any of you on instagram? I'm at natashaswonderland - follow me :)

Another blogger that's been doing great stuff this week is Gemma of gemsmaquillage, with her insta updates on healthyhappygemma and her food diaries there has been a lot of healthy inspiration going on this week!

I also haven't had a fizzy drink in 6 days and counting, coming from a self confessed diet coke addict this is a big deal! Can't wait to read all your posts :)

Honey Chicken

I love honey chicken but wanted to make a healthier option as apposed to what I normally get from a Chinese place so here we go!

You will need:
Plain chicken fillets
Honey
Light soy sauce
Chili
Salt & Pepper

Step 1: Chop up your chicken fillets into strips and marinate with 2 teaspoons of honey, and 2 tablespoons of light soy sauce, and some salt & pepper to season.

Step 2: Pick some veggies, whichever you personally prefer - I like sweet peppers, mushrooms, chickpeas and red onion. Chop finely and fry them on the pan with a little water (instead of oil) to soften to your liking.

Step 3: Put marinated chicken onto another pan and cook until done (obviously....) add water to the pan if you feel its getting to sticky for it, works a wonder over oil.

Step 4: Decide if you want rice, pasta or sweet potatoe to go with it, and prepare accordingly. I like rice the best, I usually just stick to boil in the bag because honestly, I can't cook it otherwise.

Serve up and enjoy!
I love this dish, it's quick and easy and SO tasty!
Bare in mind, I am not a chef and this is just an experiment that happened to work out so feel free to tweek and change it to your own liking. If  you do, let me know :)

Brand Focus: Mallzee

* Before I write this post, this is not a sponsored post, all opinions are my own*

A few months back, I wrote a post on a new app called Mallzee. Since then, the brand have updated and revamped the app, and been realistic, it's still as fab as ever. Pulling together two million items of clothing from over 200 top retailers, the app then tailors the selection to the pieces best suited to the individual user It's literally like having a personal shopping on your pocket. I thought I'd let you little wonders know about it, because I've been having a lot of fun over Christmas with it.

There's so many different stores after getting involved, it's worth a look in, ASOS. Miss Selfridge, Urban Outfitters etc. It's also free which is great because personally, I hate paying for apps, it really annoys me.

If that doesn't convince you to look into it, this will, it's good enough for Leanne Woodfull, it's good enough for you.... Happy shopping guys!

#BloggersWLW

So, I seen a tweet from the lovely Jennifer on Twitter looking for bloggers to get together to take part in #BloggersWLW, and decided YES, I want to do this. It's all Jennifer's idea so I'm going to link her post here so you can read it for yourself and get involved if you want.

Today is my first #WLW post, and today I'm going back to Slimming World after a naughty 3 weeks off over the Christmas period. I'm super excited and super terrified all at the same time, but hey ho, I enjoyed Christmas but now I'm excited to get back into the swing of thing's.

As this is m first post I'm kind of unsure what to talk about, but I am really excited to start experimenting with food, and cooking lots of different thing's and for my post next week I'm going to document a kind of food diary so maybe you guy's can get some idea's. Every week I'm also going to keep you updated on how I'm feeling, any tips of picked up or any recipes I've learned along the way.

Make sure you go over and read Jennifer's post so you can get all the details and meet all the other lovely bloggers that are getting involved!!

Seventeen Phoarr Paint

I wasn't joking when I said I was taking thing's in Wonderland more seriously in 2014. Hiiiiii - today I'm back with a review of a product I have been loving in 2013, and continue to do so in 2014 and that is the 17 Phowarr paint concealer. Is that not the coolest name ever by the way? I always laugh when I say it!

Anyway, I think 17 have really been stepping it up lately, a few other of my favourite products of theirs are their lipsticks and there all dolled up mascara (currently on offer for a fiver in boots!) but I shall discuss those in good time my loves.

My shade is in fair, and it matches my skin tone so well, I was super impressed when I first used it. I love the little pot it comes in too, it makes it really compact and the mirror makes it easy to travel with in case you need to touch up during the day. The consistency itself is something I really like too, its thick without been cakey and doesn't crease under the eye, which is fabulous considering the dark circles I'm prone to getting. Although my skin is fairly okay and I don't get too many spots it has helped when the odd little daemon attacks my poor face!

At under 10 euros I really do believe that this is work picking up and trying it out!

Sunday Pampering

Just after my birthday this year I accidentally gave up blogging. I didn't mean too, it kind of just happened? Well, life happened. A lot was going on in my personal life as well as the added pressure of a new job. A job which I love none the less, but it took up a lot of my time. I still have my job but I feel a lot more balanced in my life at the minute and I miss blogging, and the community that goes with it. One of my news years resolutions was to take my blog more seriously and actually write! So, I'm starting off with something nice and relaxing... literally.

As it's Sunday (the last day of the weekend boo!) I feel that a little pampering is in order. I gathered my products of choice and just chilled out! Here's what made the cut -

Argan Oil Shampoo & Conditioner - Oh my day's, I am in love with this stuff. I've never been loyal to a shampoo or conditioner before, but I picked this up last week in town and honestly it is faaaaaabulous.

Argain Oil Heat Defensive - This is a counterpart of the above, but none the less, I'm really liking it. It's lightweight, serves its purpose and smells divine.

Boots Coconut Spray In Conditioner - It's nothing mind blowing, just something I always spray into my hair every time I wash it. I feel it protects my hair just a little bit more, and the scent is divine. An absolute bargain at €1.99!

Ozzy 3 minute miracle treatment - I gave this a go for the first time today, so watch this space!

Sugar Crush body scrub - A Soap & Glory classic, I love this stuff. I know the scent can be a bit much for some people, but personally, I love it. Fresh, fruity, zesty ahhh. What more could you want?

Sugar Crush body butter - Applying this after a big bubble bath or a long shower is just lovely. It's thick and creamy, and gives so much moisture into my skin. It also helps the scent from the scrub last on my skin, and seeing as I love the scent this is obviously a good thing!

Body Oil - A quick spray, and my skin is lovely and smooth!

Now along with all these products there are of course some added thing's that helps make a great lazy Sunday! This part of the post will alter depending on your personal choice but here's my list.....

  • Scented candles.. I'm currently burning Yankee Candle Vanilla & Lime, heavenly!
  • The new episode of the Carrie Diaries... obviously.
  • Some blog reading... Catching up with Vivanna & Alix this afternoon.
  • Onsie. Currently sporting a grey Mickey Mouse one.
So that's it my loves! I hope you all had a fabulous Christmas and New Year! Here's to 2014!

VIPXO Inspired

Victoria posted about these watches the other day, aren't they gorgeous?
Well I actually spotted these on eBay back in late November, early December and snapped one up for around €2.33, bargain much? However, I kind of forgot about it and it went into my jewellery box along with everything else I should wear but I don't.... but since Victoria's post I pulled it back out and it hasn't left my wrist since.

I think its very simple, yet nearly boho inspired? and it's different, there's not a lot of thing's floating around with world maps on them, so it's really eye catching without been over powering. I love it.

What do you guys think?
